Southeast-European Association for Ancient Philosophy started in 2002 as an informal association gathering scholars wokring in ancient philosophy in the region of South-East Europe. It was initiated by Katerina Ierodiakonou and Pavel Gregori\u0107, with generous support of late Michael Frede. The first meeting of SEAAP took place in 2002 in Delphi, Greece. Since then, SEAAP organizes annual conferences and publishes a scholarly journal (Rhizai<\/a><\/em> from 2004 to 2011, then Rhizomata<\/a><\/em> from 2013).
